2 Nights - Tarangire National Park
Begin the day with a leisurely breakfast at your lodge and time to explore its picturesque grounds. Then head towards Tarangire National Park, one of Northern Tanzania’s underrated gems, to game drive through its baobab forests where vast herds of buffalos and elephants roam. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the scenic Tarangire River while keeping your eyes peeled for wildebeest and giraffe. In the late afternoon, you’ll check into Oliver’s Camp, which was inspired by the trailblazing camps that pioneered the early days of safari. Take time to freshen up before dinner is served under the stars.
After breakfast at Oliver’s Camp, embark on a morning game drive through the spectacular landscapes of Tarangire National Park. Then return to the camp in time for lunch and an afternoon at your leisure to catch up on some reading or just soak up the majestic scenery.
In the late afternoon, stretch your legs on a 1.5-hour walk through the bush, led by Oliver’s Camps’ resident naturalist and a team of armed TANAPA rangers. On this walk, you’ll learn about the native flora and fauna species that are often overlooked on game drives. Return to the camp in time for sundowners and a delicious dinner.
