3 Nights - Serengeti National Park
Wake early for an
optional sunrise hot air balloon safari (available to children aged 7 and
above), watching the day’s first rays ignite the Serengeti plains. Soar through
the air at tree height to watch the herds up close, then enjoy a champagne
breakfast in the bush as you relive your experience.
Return to the lodge to spend the rest of the day relaxing beside the
pool while the kids enjoy the complimentary activities at the Discovery Centre.
Learn how wildlife researchers study animals using remote camera trap
technology before settling in for dinner at the traditional Boma Grill
restaurant, accompanied by tribal dances and songs from Maasai warriors.
After breakfast at the Four Seasons Safari Lodge, head out on an exhilarating game drive. Led by a knowledgeable local guide, you’ll discover the history of one of the world’s oldest ecosystems while spotting its legendary wildlife. Return to the lodge for lunch, then meet the resident naturalist at the Discovery Centre to learn about the Serengeti Lion Project. Later in the afternoon, a private chef will teach you the secrets of Tanzanian specialties during a family cooking class. Prepare delicious malva pudding while the kids cut cookies in the shape of their favourite animals.
In the evening, experience an optional bush dinner illuminated by torchlight or enjoy a family dinner at the Kula Restaurant before retiring for the night.
Spend a relaxing morning at the spa or poolside watching the wildlife come and go while the kids learn bush skills and customs with a Maasai warrior. They’ll be taught about medicinal plants and how to make a fire using sticks and fire dung, as well as crafting a traditional toothbrush from a tree.
In the late afternoon, embark on a sunset game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner at the Maji Bar and Terrace. You may also opt to attend an evening talk or wildlife documentary screening at the Discovery Centre.
